This journey has started more or less a month ago. I work for TechEdge, a worldwide consultancy company that has many big clients in its portfolio (we’re talking about really huge clients like FCA, Trenitalia, Luxottica, Ferrero, Max Mara, atch).

Usually, projects that involve these clients are about SAP and everything that is around it (I’m a SAPUI5 developer ninja).

This project is something different. This project is about the blockchain and in particular Ontology Blockchain.

At that time I wasn’t new to the blockchain topic, I was always updated about Ethereum, Bitcoin and everything that concern Smart Contract development, but I wasn’t really aware of the potentiality of Ontology Blockchain.

When my boss called me in his office and told me about this opportunity I was so excited. It was the perfect moment to experiment and start learning something new that uses bleeding edge technologies!

This journey will be divided into a series of articles:

  1. Introduction to Ontology Blockchain
  2. How to develop a Smart Contract for Ontology Blockchain
  3. How to develop an express server to connect to your Smart Contract
  4. A fully working example of Smart Shop (both SC and Client)
  5. TBD. Maybe there will be some 2.1 and 3.1 articles if I see that those contents grow up exponentially

At the end of this series of articles you will be able to understand what Ontology is, how to create a Smart Contract, how to invoke and send asset (ONT, ONG, NEO, …) to a Smart Contract and how to build a fully working example of a Pet Shop (like in the Ethereum examples).

Do you want to see covered more topics about Ontology? Let me know!
